Join Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin in their battle against time and destiny with the World Television Premiere of ‘Looop Lapeta’ on Sony MAX

 

Mumbai, July 6, 2022 : In this fast-paced world where everyone is on the lookout for something new, no one likes repetition and moving in circles! But what if you are stuck in an inescapable time loop with three chances to fight for the life of someone you love? Well, it is scary but it’s equally exhilarating! This 8th July 2022, get ready to feel a similar sense of urgency running down your veins as Sony MAX is here with the World Television Premiere of Taapsee Pannu starrer Looop Lapeta at 9PM.

This Aakash Bhatia directorial revolves around Savi (Taapsee Pannu), a former athlete whose life totally changes when she learns that she is pregnant and that Satyajeet (Tahir Raj Bhasin), her boyfriend, is in mortal peril due to his shady involvement with the mafia. Despite everything, love is love! Hence, she decides to help him out but is unsuccessful and believes her efforts have gone right down the drain. However, that is not it because fate has other plans! The clock is turned back to the moment when she found herself pregnant, leaving her in a time loop. Will she be able to figure out how to successfully save her beau?

 

Commenting on its World Television Premiere, Actress Shreya Dhanwanthary said, “Looop Lapeta is a film that has a fascinating theme along with multiple layers that make it all the more intriguing to watch. In fact, the character offered to me ‘Julia’ was so unique in itself that I was instantly drawn towards it and could not resist taking up the opportunity. Working with such talented personalities of the industry made the entire experience of bringing the beauty of the film to life, even more special.”

Sharing his experience of working on the film, actor Tahir Raj Bhasin said, “Looop Lapeta has been a very special film. I had an absolutely crazy time shooting for it with Taapsee and director Aakash Bhatia in Goa. Looop Lapeta is a film with a quirky premise, a concept that has not been explored before in Hindi cinema. A lot of people applauded our effort when it released on OTT, and I am hoping, with the world television premiere on Sony MAX, more people will get to witness our wacky endeavor.”

1. The film is the official Hindi adaptation of an award-winning German cult thriller ‘Run Lola Run’
2. The name of the film ‘Loop Lapeta’’ is inspired by the word ‘Lola’ from ‘Run Lola Run’. (‘Lo’ being a part of Loop and ‘La’ being a part of ‘Lapeta’)
3. The love story of Savi (Taapsee Pannu) and Satya (Tahir Raj Bhasin) has a backdrop of the mythological tale of Savitri & Satyavan. It is similar but with an exciting modern twist to it!
