Complete with a fashion show featuring the elegant new team member

uniforms for The Parisian Macao, a topping out ceremony Thursday celebrated the integrated

resort’s replica Eiffel Tower reaching its highest point with the placement of its dome and lantern

structure.

In a nod tore creating one of Europe’s most famous structures in one of Asia’s most popular

travel destinations, the ceremony was an occasion of East meeting West, with dancing coming

by way of both lion dance and French cancan. At the topping out ceremony, Sands China

executives in attendance signed the tower’s dome before a crane lifted it into its final position.

“The Parisian Macao, and in particular its Eiffel Tower, is certain to be a landmark presence on

the Cotai Strip, and an iconic addition to the city’s skyline,” said Wilfred Wong, president and

chief operating officer designate for Sands China Ltd., who will be working for Sands China

beginning Nov. 1, 2015. “Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao is truly like no other integrated resort

destination. Where else but here, you could have lunch alongside the serenading gondolier

splying the picturesque canals of Venice, and then have dinner at an authentic French bistro

before enjoying some of the most breathtaking views of the Cotai Strip from the Eiffel Tower.”

Macao’s iconic half-scale replica Eiffel Tower remains a faithful representation of its Paris

counterpart, while taking advantage of modern construction advances in its design. The Macao

structure is steel instead of the original’s wrought iron, and is engineered to receive both the

high winds of Macao’s annual typhoon season and the high traffic of Macao’s bustling tourism

industry.

The completed tower will feature many of the ornamental touches of its counterpart in Paris,

including ornate detailing such as cornice scrolls, balustrades, gusset plates, lattices,

staircases, and mesh screens around the observation decks. Also like its elder sibling, a light

show will spectacularly light up the tower each night.

The Parisian Macao is the latest addition to the integrated resort city of Sands Resorts Cotai

Strip Macao. It is part of Sands China’s commitment to tourism diversification in Macao, helping

support the city’s growth as a world centre of tourism and leisure, and one of the region’s top

destinations for business, leisure and family travellers.

Targeted to open in second half of 2016, The Parisian Macao is an integrated resort inspired by

the magic and wonder of the famed “City of Light.” Featuring a half-scale replica of the Eiffel

Tower with a restaurant and observation decks offering stunning views of the Cotai Strip, The

Parisian Macao features 3,000 guest rooms and suites. Its full array of integrated resort facilities

includes ample meeting space, a variety of restaurants, and plenty for adults and families with

children to do. Outside of the range of retail stores and restaurants, there will be a theatre, spa,

children’s club, and gym. A pool deck will include Aqua world, a themed water park for all ages.

When complete, The Parisian Macao will join its award-winning interconnected sister properties

– The Venetian® Macao; The Plaza™ Macao, featuring Four Seasons Hotel Macao; and Sands®

Cotai Central, housing hotels by Conrad, Sheraton and Holiday Inn – in offering visitors to Cotai

an unbeatable business, leisure and entertainment offering under one roof: 12,000 rooms and

suites, more than 800 duty-free shops, international dining, superstar entertainment, and

Macao’s most comprehensive and versatile MICE facilities.
