Sinclairs Hotels gets ready for the ‘new normal’
Kolkata, 21st May, 2020: As a result of the unprecedented crisis resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, all the seven properties of Sinclairs Hotels at Siliguri, Darjeeling, Dooars, Kalimpong, Burdwan, Port Blair and Ooty are closed. The launch of the eighth property in the Sinclairs’ chain – Sinclairs Gangtok scheduled on 15th April 2020 had to be postponed.
In response to today’s needs, Sinclairs is introducing a host of changes and new initiatives to keep our guests safe and healthy.
Sinclairs high standards of cleanliness will now have special emphasis on hand washing hygiene to sanitizing of guestrooms and common areas so that our guests enjoy hospitality in a sanitized environment. The programme will comprehensively cover all departments of the hotels including the back areas as well as the guest-facing areas and is being implemented across all hotels as they get ready to re-open and commence operations.
Sinclairs concern for the environment is reflected in extensive greenery in its properties. We were early adopters in the industry to reduce the use of plastics. We are now implementing major plantation programmes which include herbs and air purifying plants.
Food menus are being re-engineered to offer more healthy options. Steamed, grilled and roasted items prepared from fresh ingredients will now find pride of place in our menus.
Our sprawling campuses will now additionally offer ‘open air fan cooled’ meeting venues. The ‘healthy conference’ set up will ensure social distancing and participants will enjoy clean fresh air and wholesome food from our specially designed menus.
