Saira Banu wept bitterly when Dilip Kumar received the “Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award” posthumously.

Today, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale and Budhanjali director Kailash Masoom honored the legendary actor of the film world, Mohammad Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar, with the “Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award” posthumously!

Dilip Kumar’s award was presented by Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister of Government of India and Kailash Masoom, founder of Budhanjali, to his wife and superstar actress Saira Banu of her time.

Receiving the award, Saira Banu started crying bitterly, she said that I heartily accept this award in the name of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar ji, Dilip Saheb must be very happy after getting the honor of Babasaheb’s name! I thank Ramdas Athawale Saheb and Kailash Masoom ji!

The Government of India has honored Dilip Kumar with the Dadasaheb Phalke, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards.
