Lakmé Fashion Week announces Model Auditions for Summer/Resort 2018
With an aim to further boost the Indian fashion and modelling industry Lakmé Fashion Week, India’s premiere fashion runway, announces Model Auditions for its Summer/Resort 2018 season. The platform will give aspiring models, across the country, a chance to walk for some of India’s best designers.
Lakmé Fashion Week is credited with launching some of India’s most successful models including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Anjali Lama, Bhumika Arora, Pooja Mor and Kiyara. Last season, Kiyara who was selected through the Mumbai Model Auditions won the coveted international contract with IMG Models, giving her the chance to walk at international fashion weeks, across the globe.
The Model Auditions for Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2018 will take place on 20th December in Mumbai at St Regis. The auditions will be judged by a panel of industry experts.
“Our aim has always been to redefine beauty and find fresh faces who have great potential to represent Lakmé. Over the seasons, we have introduced many most sought-after faces like Katrina Kaif, who have gone on to become India’s biggest style icons. We look forward to the models who will take over the runway this Summer/ Resort 2018.” said Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovations, Lakmé.
Jaspreet Chandok, Head of Fashion at IMG Reliance said, “At Lakmé Fashion Week it has been our continued endeavor to hone fashion and modelling talent across the country. I am certain that this season too we will be able to reach out to a wider audience and provide aspiring talent the platform they deserve to make their debut.”
