Indian School of Hairdressing (ISH) hosts India’s first styling program for BARBERS ‘An Evening with extraordinary Gentlemen’

Welcomes Celebrity British Barbers Chris Foster & Erik Lander
Mumbai 17th April 2017: Committed to creating great moments that bring international hair artists to educate barbers’ in India with latest in men’s grooming and hair trends; ISH staged ‘An evening with extraordinary gentlemen”. This is India’s first event for the BARBERS which saw guest of Honour Alim Hakim & Ramesh Babu (Billionaire Barber) raised its curtain welcoming celebrity British Barbers’ Chris Foster and Erik Lander in the midst of a star-studded affair.
From the aegis of British Barbers’ Association (BBA) ace barbers Chris Foster & Erik Lander presented an evening full of the latest styles and techniques from the UK’s finest barbers, Chris Foster and Erik Lander. Erik has styled Miss Universe 2001 Celina Jaitley and Chris is known in Hollywood for his impeccable styling for Jay Sean and Pierce Brosnan. The team showcased inspired men’s grooming hair styles and fashion trends from the UK; featuring their latest collection.
The curtain raiser event witnessed stylists Avan Contractor, Jaaved Habib, Pushkraj Shenoy, CEO Lakme Salon, billionaire barber Ramesh Babu and Alim Hakim amongst many more.
Speaking at the occasion Ayaz Kabani, Founder Indian School of Hairdressing (ISH) said,“since our inception in 2015, we have been nurturing this art and exploring the development of the same amongst the professionals in the country. ISH is also dedicated to promoting the same by way of pioneering wide variety of staple events like these; redefining the way men’s grooming is looked at in India”
“We are elated to be here and excited to launch BBA’s latest collection; The King’s Row and share the latest in male grooming techniques with barbers in India.” said Erik Lander, Britain’s best Hair Dressing and Barbering educator.
Commenting on the collaboration, multi-award winning hairdresser Chris Foster said “If numbers are to be believed the global male grooming market is estimated to be worth
$50 bn and its getting bigger. There has been a paradigm shift in time men all over the world including India are starting to get more and more knowledgeable about their beauty and want to look good.
We are super excited to be here and on a platform to provide education for latest styling and grooming techniques in the Indian market.
The event also marked the collaboration of ISH with BBA to reach talented professionals who aim to become landmarks on the global image and fashion scene . The BBA team would also be conducting four days workshops on creative men’s Grooming and
Traditional Wet Shave at Indian School of Hairdressing’s academy from 18th to 21st Apr 2017.
ISH internal educators will be trained by the BBA team during these four days accreditation event. Later our educators will be imparting the knowledge and training to salons across India to upgrade the skills & work towards elevating Barbering & Men’s Grooming industry.
