Foundation Laying Ceremony of Atharva IT Park graced by Hon’ble Union Minister Nitin Gadkari

gadkari1st April 2016, Mumbai: One of the fastest growing educationl brands in India – The Atharva Group of Institutes witnessed a proud moment during the Bhoomi Pujan of its Atharva IT Park at Malad in Mumbai. This special occasion was held in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Shri Nitin Gadkari. After the Bhoomi Pujan, Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony was held of this huge IT and Business Park which aims to provide Research &Development activities and innovative development projects to engineering & management divisions.

Cdr. Dipak Naik, President, Maharashtra Economic Development Council; Shri. Gopal Shetty, Member of Parliament, North Mumbai; Dr. Abhay Wagh, Director, Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, MS; Shri. Yogesh Sagar, MLA, Charkop Kandivali; Shri. Ram Barot, Municipal Councillor, Mumbai were the Guests of Honour.

Shri. Datta Rane, Ex. Higher & Technical Education Minister of Govt. Of Maharashtra; Dr. S. P. Kallurkar, Principal, Atharva College of Engineering and Professor N.S. Rajan, Dean, Atharva Institute of Management Studies were also present at the occasion.

Shri Nitin Gadkari was quoted saying, “India is a rich country however the people are poor. Youngsters migrate to cities in search of employment as basic necessities like clean drinking water, health and sanitation are still a challenge. We need to increase the purchasing power of the people with the help of infrastructure development.” He further added, “In Nagpur, we have initiated the launch of 100 AC buses which function on Mithan and are cost-effective and pollution free. We believe in modernization and not in westernization.”

Shri Sunil Rane, Executive President, Atharva Group of Institutes conducted the Seminar on “National Growth through Infrastructure Development” which was also graced by Hon’ble Shri Dattaji Rane, Ex. Higher & Technical Education Minister.

This Seminar was attended by around 500 participants including Directors, Principals, Senior Professors and Students from various Engineering Colleges and Management Institutes in Mumbai. Executives of selected Industries and Scientists from renowned research organizations also participated in the seminar.

The main objective of this Seminar was to enlighten student and faculties about the innovative ideas and trends in national economic growth through infrastructure. Developing infrastructure enhances a country’s productivity, consequently making firms more competitive and boosting a region’s economy. The seminar also covered other contemporary issues with respect to the huge growth being driven by the infrastructure projects currently going on in India.
