Celebrity Chef Rakhee Vaswani launches her state-of-the-art Palate Culinary Academy with Malaika Arora Khan

Malaika cooking 1Mumbai, January 20, 2017:  An evening of food and laughter, the who’s who of the F&B Industry made it to the launch of Celebrity Chef Rakhee Vaswani’s first-of-its-kind Palate Culinary Academy at Bandra west today. Inaugurated  by the lovely Malaika Arora Khan, a fantastic chef in her own right! The academy aims to give food enthusiasts real exposure into the world of culinary arts. The new space was inaugurated with much applause, positivity and praises.

​​Another highlight of the event was an interactive, fun cook-off between Malaika & Chef Rakhee, not only did they speak about the new studio but also shared their personal experiences with cooking and how this studio is going to change the face of culinary arts in the country . The cook off saw Malaika and Chef Rakhee cook a delicious and healthy Red Quinoa Risotto with Mint Chicken and Pesto dressing. This was followed by a tour of the new academy. Also present at the launch were industry stalwarts such as Riyaaz Amlani, Vicky Ratnani, Kshama Prabhu, Kunal Vijayekar and popular celebritites like Mansi Joshi Roy, Yasmin Karachiwala and many more!

 Speaking on the occassion, Celebrity chef, TV show host and author Chef Rakhee Vaswani said, “I am so humbled today and I’d like to thank everyone for their unconditional love and support – especially my husband Mahesh and kids Aneeshaa and Akhil. I am eternally thankful to Malaika for being a part of my newest venture, she has always been a lucky mascot. A lot of hardwork has gone behind making the academy as it is today.Each equipment to each course we provide is carefully selected to help foster careers of budding chefs, food-preneurs and food enthusiasts”

Excited for Chef Rakhee, the stunning Malaika Arora Khan said, “I owe all my cooking, or the experience of it, to Rakhee. She is the most humble, patient and wonderful teacher I have come across (obviously the only one!). She makes teaching and learning a very pleasurable experience. I have had the great fortune of attending many classes at Palate Culinary Studio and now the whopping Palate Culinary Academy with Rakhee. Whenever I want a recipe, I just pick up the phone and ask Rakhee for help. This is the best part about her—cooking with such passion that you give her a brief, or just few keywords, and a recipe flows out of her.”

January 2017 is going to experience the first celebrity chef in India making her dream come true  as a passionate culinary teacher. Chef Rakhee Vaswani has launched a bigger and state-of-the-art extension of her humble studio –   in Bandra west (Main Linking road). This venture is going to be a first-of-its-kind with extremely hi-end equipment, an extension of Palate Culinary Studio, only 3 times bigger in size and 30 times larger in terms of innovative opportunities and culinary endeavors. It will not only hold all the UK-certified Culinary, Patisserie & Bakery courses, but many other international professional programs, Chef-special pop-ups, fancy brunches, mouth-watering sun-downers, kid’s birthday parties, corporate team-bonding sessions and many other food-based events that Mumbai hasn’t yet witnessed. They will also be bringing down chefs from different countries, cities and genres to showcase their expertise to their students and provide some cross-culture tongue-tinglers to food-lovers in Mumbai. Youth-centric events like open-mic comedy sessions, couple’s cooking specials, and festival/occasion-based workshops, Yoga & Ayurvedic cooking and intensive short-term courses will also be provided in this space. People from the age of 5 to 80 reach out to Chef Rakhee to learn cooking / baking, which will double up at this academy. The only standalone studio of its kind to house equipment you see in kitchen’s of hi-end chain hotels. Each student is exposed to the best, ensuring he’s ready to take on the real world.
