Every morning feels like an examination because I always wonder whether I have met his expectations,” Mehta shared.

He revealed that during their association spanning more than three decades, Bachchan has corrected him only a couple of times, but those moments became valuable lessons in perfection.

“I learned how important precision is. There should be no compromises. Everything has to be 100 percent perfect. That pursuit of perfection has shaped me as a photographer.”

In an era where smartphones have made photography accessible to everyone, Mehta believes professional photography is about anticipating moments rather than simply pressing a shutter button.

“I hardly talk to anyone while I’m working because I don’t want to miss a single moment. I constantly move around, looking for different angles. Every day with Mr. Bachchan has to produce fresh and unique photographs. If I deliver the same kind of images every day, there is no creativity.”

According to him, emotion, timing and perspective remain the biggest strengths of professional photography.

In 2016, Mehta expanded his vision by opening Paresh Mehta Studio in Malad, Mumbai. The studio was inaugurated by Amitabh Bachchan himself, marking another milestone in their enduring relationship.
