VES, Chembur holds science exhibition, sees participation from 85 Schools at its Nehru Nagar campus

34-mti-newsMumbai, Nov 29: The three-day science exhibition has started at Swami Vivekanand Vidyalaya & Kanishtha Mahavidyalaya, VES Nehru Nagar campus on Tuesday (November 29). Named “Science, Technology & Mathematics for Nation Building”, the event is being held from 29th to the first of December at the school premises at Nehru Nagar, Young enthusiastic participants from eighty-five schools from the L Ward (North Zone) of Kurla are displaying 350 innovative projects and working models. Urdu, Hindi, Marathi and English school students are taking part in the exhibition.

55-mti-newsThe exhibits will be covering the subjects related to health, industry, transport & communication, innovations in renewable resources for sustainable environment, innovations in food production & food security, and mathematical solutions in everyday life. The exhibition is held with an endeavor to promote scientific temper among the students.

46-mti-news“This exhibition is aimed at nurturing and inculcating scientific temperament among the students community. This is how we develop the future scientists and researchers. Exhibitions like this one will help students community do a lot of research and work on their own in different spheres of science and technology,” said Shashikala Attarde, Principal, Swami Vivekanand Kanishtha Mahavidyalaya.

“We take a holistic approach on education. And it is in our bid to cultivate a sense of scientific temper and nurture real talents that we organise exhibitions like this. Such events will help us find out the real talents that are hidden,” said Trustee Amar Asrani.
