The Akshaya Patra Foundation receives Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award for Innovation in Governance

New Delhi, 17th October, 2016: The Akshaya Patra Foundation, which operates the world’s largest NGO-run mid-day meal programme, has been bestowed with 1st Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award for Innovation in Governance. The award was presented during the 1st Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Summit on Innovation in Governance held in Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi. Shri Bharatarshabha Dasa, Director Relationships of Akshaya Patra received the award.
“We feel honored to receive the 1st Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Award for Innovation in Governance category, this award will inspire us to reach out to more children” expressed Shridhar Venkat, CEO Akshaya Patra.
