Sheltrex Karjat, erstwhile Tanaji Malusare City started delivering its first set of keys from the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padva and will hand over 470 keys to its customers by April end. The project is expected to deliver over 1500 keys this year.
Says Mr. Sanjay Zamse, Project Head, Sheltrex, “We are progressing swiftly to fulfill our commitment to our esteemed customers after the project revival. The pending construction is in full swing and the changes in the project have been liked and appreciated by the customers.”
Famed as the first Indian affordable housing project by the private sector, the project has been credited with kicking off affordable housing in India. It had also received the United Nations award for sustainable practices in 2009.
However, due to a shareholder dispute and a court injunction, the project was delayed by 5 years leaving over 3600 house buyers in the lurch.
“Brick Eagle acquired the project in September last year and is committed to delivering high quality homes to the existing 3600 home buyers. We have fast tracked the construction and will have a record 1500 keys delivered by the end of this year. The project will provide world class amenities and facilities that it originally did not have” said Rajesh Krishnan, Founder and CEO, Brick Eagle.
Expressing joy, one of the customers said, “The project has improved a great deal, especially in terms of technology and amenities it has to offer. I am sure many other customers, like myself are equally delighted with the progress the project has made in the last few months. I am looking forward to moving in and seeing this project flourish. “
