Children painting for World Environment Day at PD Hinduja Hospital - (3)Mumbai, June 4, 2015: World Environment Day, globally celebrated on June 5 is an initiative started by the United Nations in 1973 to encourage the current and future generations to become agents of change in sustaining and protecting the earth’s biodiversity. Today, the earth’s green cover has witnessed a tragic change due to human activities and requires our much needed attention.

With an aim to spread the message of importance and the increased need for a healthier and greener environment, P. D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre organized a wall painting event for young children. The event was attended by more than 60 children of the hospital staff and the neighborhood who jointly expressed their obligation towards creating a green and safe environment.

Rendering his support towards this cause, Mr. Gautam Khanna, CEO, P. D. Hinduja Hospital & MRC said, “The nature today needs all of us as individuals and citizens of this nation to protect our precious environment. P.D. Hinduja Hospital in its attempt to create a greener future is privileged to create awareness with the children responsible for the preservation of our future.”

P. D. Hinduja Hospital has undertaken several such events in the past and has been an active partner towards sustaining our environment.
