Mission Suraksha – one year of a successful journey.

Press Conference ImageIndia’s first Industrial Safety Roadshow initiative completes the milestone of one year covering 30,000 kilometers and reaching out to approximately 30,000 people across India since the start of its mission.

India’s expanding industrial horizons have led to a sprawling rise in workforce which increases the need to create awareness on safety solutions and practices. With an aim to reach out to the last mile to create awareness about latest trends in safety technologies Draeger Safety India Pvt. Ltd. initiated a mission. ‘Mission Suraksha’ is an industrial roadshow aimed at reaching out to the major industrial belts of India and making the industrial stakeholders aware of the latest technological solutions for safety at their site. With Mission Suraksha Dräger presents safety solutions at industrial sites, hands-on

experience of product applications and demonstrating after-sales service and

maintenance solutions for life-saving products.

The National Safety Council has been associated with the mission since its

very beginning. The National Safety Council is an apex nonprofit, tripartite

body of Government of India (GOI), created to generate, develop and sustain

a voluntary movement on Safety, Health and Environment at the national

level. The campaign was flagged off on the 24th of November 2014 by Mr.

V.B Sant, Director General of National Safety Council and Mr. Vilas Moray,

Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health who were the guests of honour.

The Mission Suraksha journey started on the 15th of December 2014, from

Baroda in Gujarat. Ever since then the roadshow truck has been on the road

covering major industrial belts, altogether 16 states and 91 cities. It gave

Dräger the opportunity to discuss and educate approximately 25,000

industrial workforces from 170 industrial locations with the latest trends in

safety technology.
