MG Car Club India partners with Nargis Dutt Foundation, organizes Drive for a cause on World Kindness Day



The drive aimed to promote girlchild education to give them a better future


Mumbai, November 18th, 2021: On the occasion of World Kindness Day, MG Motor India hosted a special drive for a cause with Nargis Dutt Foundation to mark World Kindness Day. The latest initiative by MG Motor Car Club – India (MGCC-I) was flagged off in the presence of Ms. Priya Dutt (Trustee – Nargis Dutt Foundation) along with her team members on 13th of November, 2021.

The drive for a cause aimed to promote girlchild education to give them the future they deserve. As part of the initiative, MG Motor and MG Dealer Mumbai has donated INR 2.5 lakh to the Foundation to support students’ education and other needs.

Also present at the event were Lubiena Shahpurwala -Chair Person FICCI Flo Mumbai, Aarmeen Dordi – Treasurer FICCI Flo Mumbai, Khushnuma Khan – Secretary FICCI Flo Mumbai, Ms. Akshita – MGCC-I Mumbai Officer, Mr Gautam Modi- Managing Director, Modi Group (Dealer Partner- MG Motor India), Ms Nidhi Modi- Director, Modi Group (Dealer Partner- MG Motor India) and Vivek Dhawan – MG Motor India.

MGCC-I was formed by MG car owners and enthusiasts and conducts several motoring events across the country. It supports several initiatives targeted towards critical societal challenges, primarily towards women empowerment and girl child education. Nargis Dutt Foundation is a charitable organization working in the areas of Health & Education since 1981.

About MG SEWA: MG SEWA is an umbrella platform to serve immediate communities with whom the company interacts, especially in Vadodara, Halol, and Gurgaon. Under the Program, the carmaker started supporting the education of girl students in 2019, and more than 60,000 girls have benefitted from it so far. Other initiatives under MG SEWA include skilling unemployed women to make masks, educating 100 teachers and more than 4 Lakh children on road safety in Gurgaon, and sanitising 4,000 police cars. Furthermore, MG has also facilitated enhanced production of ventilators by providing technological and infrastructure support to an MSME player, Max Ventilator, at Vadodara. The production has been ramped up to 4 times in the last 2 months. Recently, the carmaker provided more than 100 Hector cars to frontline workers and donated Hector Ambulances as part of the same. The company has been at the forefront to ensure that migrant labourers received food during the nationwide lockdown. More information can be found at
