Launching -CST for Future India” campaign

Shri. Shiv Pratap Shukla. Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance, inaugurated the GST for Future India campaign of CGST and Central Excise Zone of Mumbai in a function held at the Conference hall of Bank of India at Bandra Kuria Complex. Mumbai today. In their on-going outreach programs to create awareness on GST. the CGST and Central Excise, Mumbai zone conceptualized yet another campaign titled as “GST for future India”. The main focus of this program is to reach out the school children and through them outreach the intended public. This is achieved by printing the GST advertisement materials of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs on the front page and the address and contact details of all GST Seva Kendras of CGST and Central Excise. Mumbai zone on the back page of the note books meant to be used by school children. The objective of this program is to popularize the advantages of GST among the students, to nurture the young India to evolve as ‘Tax compliant citizens” and to advertise the addresses and contact details of all GST Seva Kendras of Mumbai zone among the students, general public and the trade and industry in particular. The intended benefits are building the future India with Tax compliant citizens, Popularizing the benefits of GST without any cost. an effortless display of the GST advertisement and contact details of the GST Seva Kendras repeatedly. As a mark of launching the campaign. a function was organized at 12 noon today (09.10.2017) in the Bank of India Conference Hall, Sandra Kuria Complex, and Shri. Shiv Pratap Shukla, the Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance unveiled the note books printed with GST advertisement content and the first copy was received by Smt. Nanda R Gosavi, the Principal of P. K. Road Marathi School, Mulund. Later the Hon’ble Minister distributed the notebooks to the students of the school. The campaign was initiated and rolled out by the relentless efforts of officers of Thane and Navi Mumbai welcomed the Minister for this launch and briefed the participants about the novelty of this campaign.
The program was attended the executives of M/s. Navneet Education Ltd. the notebook printers who have coordinated with the CGST department in printing notebooks with GST advertisement materials. The executives of M/s. Galaxy Surfactants Ltd who were the sponsors for printing the initial lot of the notebooks for free distribution under the Corporate Social Responsibility have also attended the function. The Chief Commissioners. Principal Commissioners and Commissioners of Customs and CGST Mumbai Zone also participated in this program along with other officers.
