Colourful Festivities of Durga Puja
Jalvayu Vihar Sanskriti Kalyan Samiti is all set for their annual Durgotsav starting from 7th October to 11th October at JVSKS, Puja Ground, Sector 25, Noida. This is the 24th year in a row when the Samiti is organising the Durga Puja event. With the concept “Gram Bangla”, it’s an endeavor to retain the rich tradition of Bengal.
The time when today’s young generation is running after 3G and 4G speed, latest gizmos and technologies, JVSKS brings the true village life and inculcate the idea of simple living high thinking. Unlike the massive pandals with expensive decoration just to have an edge over others, here comes the charm of simplicity.
“Gram Bangla” is the concept to recreate Village of Bengal. Where urbanisation has provided us lot of luxury of fulfilling our materialistic and aspirational yearning, there is an inner calling somewhere reminding us of the gradual drifting from our roots. Hence, JVSKS has recreated the lost gleam where the simplicity of a village in Bengal is highlighted. With earthly and natural colours used for decoration, the artistic beauty of our artisan is something to see and get mesmerized. The rapidly diminishing art “Alpana” an art form of painting on the floor with rice powder is another aspect we are trying to highlight. The special focus on detailing and the excessive usage of the serene white colour makes the décor more appealing. The motifs revolve around nature and its beauty.
Beside the beautiful set up, the celebrations would have Live performances of rustic music and dance, Dhaki, followed by rituals like Pushpanjali, bhog, havan and arati of Maa Durga would create the perfect ambiance during those festive days. “Gram Bangla” would be undoubtedly an incredibly amazing experience that is beyond words.
