Deputy Chief Minister of Goa Francis D’Souza Inaugurates The Newly Constructed Panchayat Complex At Chicalim, Vasco

Panaji, August, 2016: The newly constructed panchayat complex at Chicalim, Vasco was inaugurated recently at the hands of the Shri. Francis D’Souza, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Goa. The ceremony was held in the presence of Shri. Mauvin Godinho, Honorable MLA Dabolim constituency and Chairman SGPDA; Smt. Prajoti Kudalkar, Sarpanch; Shri. Kamla Prasad Yadhav, Dy. Sarpanch, the village panchayat of Chicalim as well as other dignitaries and invitees.
Spread over an area of 12700 sq mts in Mormugao taluka, the structure holds the offices for the Talathi, the MLA, the Sarpanch and the Panchayat Secretary.
The panchayat complex also houses rooms for health check-ups, conferences and as well as a multipurpose hall which can be used for community related activities. Provisions within the building are also made for a post-office, gymnasium, village library and for vocational training.
The open area parking along with the stilt floor parking (around 375 sq. mts) can accommodate around 19 four wheelers and 40 two wheelers comfortably.
Currently GSIDC is in the process of building high quality infrastructure projects in the state which includes the holistic development of rural and urban spaces.
