Conceptualized in 2003 was launched through Variety at Cannes and simultaneously in Mumbai in the presence of an illustrious Advisory Board comprising Ashutosh Gowariker and Kiran Shantaram ( The Sherriff of Mumbai) and Manmohan Shetty.
Day 2 of Locations Exhibition Conference took the attendees
to Georgia, Hungary and Romania with their splendid exhibition highlighting their culture, lifestyle, serene locations etc.
Director David Dhawan attended Locations Exhibition Conference. He was seen getting chatty with the exhibitors discussing about his future projects. It was also attended by Prashant Virender Sharma and Gautam Arora.
Locations have completed Twelve Annual Editions and have bought the Indian Film Fraternity under one roof into a face to face with various aspects of International Locations and Production possibilities including Subsidies, Tax Rebates & Other Global vendor Concessions to Shoot a Film on their Shores. Achieved through interaction with global destination vendors: tourism boards, film commissions, line production companies, airlines, railways, resorts and travel and tourism service providers.
Locations have seen the presence of the destination promoters from more than Fifty Countries and some Indian states too. These include Austria, Australia, Czech Republic, France, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Romania, Russia, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, UK and the Indian states of Chhattisgarh, UP, Gujrat, Mizoram & Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Locations, a pioneering concept was created by Sudhanshu Hukku.
A filmmaker–turned-event designer, who has several firsts to his credit:
*Race for Pace- where over 6000 bowlers participated for a pace bowling competition and speed guns were used to read them for the first time,
*Neon City Blues – a Remo and Alisha Chinai concert on a new year at Bangalore Palace Grounds, where the whole space was lit by branded neons,
Idea – The first design competition for amateur designers
And a FEATURE FILM to his Credit “KAFILA” which included – Paresh Rawal, Juhi Chawla, Deven Bhojani and Amol Gupte and is preserved in elite company at the British Film Archives.
