  • Six-Time World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist to hosts a Masterclass for students on Boxing and Self-Defense Education this Saturday, January 6th

 

Mumbai, 4th January, 2024: Orchids The International School is delighted to announce a distinguished three-day sports camp across its Mumbai campuses. The camp would also include a two-day intensive and interactive 90-minute self defense training workshop by Orchids in-house experts. Culmination of these sports camps and self-defense workshops will feature the esteemed Six-Time World Champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist Mary Kom who will lead an exclusive Masterclass on boxing and self-defense on 6th January 2024. Mary Kom is known not only for her remarkable achievements in boxing but also for her inspiring journey.

This unique event is designed to offer a genuine and empowering experience for the students of Orchids The International School, fostering both skill development and a deeper connection to the world of sports. Masterclass is yet another step forward by Orchids the International School towards equipping its students with skills that go beyond academic pursuits in order to ensure their holistic development – a mission the school  has been resolutely following since its inception in 2002.

Past Masterclasses hosted by the school have drawn participation from distinguished figures like former Sri Lankan Spinner Ajantha Mendis, Former Indian Football player Bhaichung Bhutia, India’s renowned Master Storyteller Neelesh Misra and a collaboration with Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan’s Da One sports academy. The school firmly believes that the best learning comes from the best teachers, and Mary Kom’s presence adds a new dimension to this philosophy.
