Vishwa Samudra Golden Eagles Golf Championships Organised In Mumbai with its 7th Edition

Mumbai, 21^st November, 2023: The Vishwa Samudra Golden Eagles Championships kicked off with grandeur and high enthusiasm in Mumbai at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club.

With 100 Golfers competing for the coveted prize, in addition to the massive Hole in 1 Prize: a BMW i7 Electric M Sport. The overall prize was a Rolex Oyster Perpetual, followed by iPhones, PXG Irons and Gift Vouchers.

In its first edition in the 2023 season, the golfers were tested by the sun and the sand across 18 holes with the wind not favouring the players.

Former Indian Cricket Captain and star of the 1983 World Cup winning team, Kapil Dev and multiple Grand Slam Winner Tennis Icon Sania Mirza, were also involved actively.

This edition included pros like Camilla Lennarth from Sweden and Gabriella Partington from the UK and Indian pros Neha Tripathi and Ridhima Dhilawari.

Brian Lara, one of the world’s greatest batsmen played the course with an impressive score. Paul Barrington – World Trick Shot Champion and by far the world’s best Golf Trick-shot artist, showcased mind blowing tricks to prep the golfers before tee-off.

The format of having pros in the competition makes this invitational event interesting and increases the level of competitiveness across the course.

 

In line with the theme of the event, Golf Glamour Glory, the evening entertainment section witnessed all the above celebrities including Actress Prachee Tehlan, in addition to a masterpiece act by one of world’s most talented and Grammy-Award nominated Flamenco Dance Groups, Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company who came down all the way from Miami and Spain. Their tap dance performance left the crowd enthralled and waiting for more. The India acrobat-duo also stunned the crowd with their performance.

The Golden Eagles Golf Championship began in 2015 as a vision of Mr Chinta Sasidhar, Chairman – Vishwa Samudra Group. The event very quickly grew to become the most sought-after corporate golf event in India. The event celebrates Golf, Glamour and Glory in all its form!

The event over the years has witnessed some of the best corporate and pro golfers as a part of the event along with celebrities like Brian Lara, Sharmila Nicolette, Chitrangada Singh, Tamanna Bhatia, R Madhavan, Mandira Bedi, Tvesa Malik, Ridhima Dilawari. It honours people who have brought glory to our country with the likes of Kapil Dev, our 1983 Indian Cricket team winning captain, Leander Paes – Tennis icon, multiple grand slam winner.
