Maharashtra Tourism highlights ‘Sustainable Tourism’ and ‘Tourism 360-degree theme at ITB Berlin 2018

Maharashtra Tourism has participated in the ITB Berlin from 07th-11thMarch, 2018. ITB Berlin is the world’s largest travel trade fair that provides a unique opportunity for all the stakeholders to showcase the diversity of their state in terms of tourism. The theme of the stall this year is ‘Sustainable Tourism’ and ‘Tourism 360-degree’ to offer new avenues of tourism and preserve the tourist requirements. It also aims to provide a meaningful experience to the travelers, creating awareness about sustainability matters and encouraging these practices among them.
The response generated by travel and tour operators for MTDC’s initiative has been quite promising at ITB Berlin 2018. Shri Vijay Gautam, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism & Culture and Shri.Aasutosh Rathod,Joint Managing Director, MTDC has personally ensured B2B meetings and the prospects of ensuing collaborations with counterparts to attract tourists all across the globe.
