Pune: Blenders Pride Fashion Nights, a unique travelling experiential property, arrived in the ‘Queen of the Deccan’ – Pune – celebrating the authentic sprit of the city through fashion and style. A spirit that echoes with Pride and inspires the creators of today to become icons of tomorrow. ‘Made of Puneri Oomph’ edition for Blenders Pride Fashion Nights brought together an eclectic evening that blended fashion, culture and music, celebrating the true spirit of Pune.
Celebrating the everlasting glory of the city’s affluent cultural legacy and a fine amalgamation of tradition & modernism through a curated evening at the majestic Ritz Carlton, was designer Karishma Shahani Khan, founder of Pune-based label Ka – Sha. The designer showcased natural and hand dyed fabrics in her collection through intricately crafted ensembles. In a true celebration of Pune’s distinct and masterful craftsmanship, the show was elevated with uplifting music by Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Aarifah Rebello – who left the audience spellbound through a power-packed performance. The show drew to a finale with none other than actor Kriti Kharbanda, who captivated the audience in a beautiful ensemble by the designer. The “Made of Puneri Oomph” edition of Blenders Pride Fashion Nights was a charming revival of the ‘cultural capital of Maharashtra’ through a vibrant collection showcase.
A compelling take on Pune’s rich culture, the “Made of Puneri Oomph” edition for Blenders Pride Fashion Nights put the city’s impressive growth and expanse of cultural influences on a pedestal. The show chronicled the values of self-sustenance, community building and reverence to local resources to flaunt a narrative that is rich and vivacious. Much like the city of Pune boasts of culture and tradition, Ka-Sha’s collection too draws inspiration from people, perspectives, stories, journeys, culture, architecture, and everything in between. The evening was attended by the city’s A-listers & influencers. The fashion walk truly left the guests mesmerized & engaged.
Through this unique showcase of Pride encompassing diverse talent across creative fields, Blenders Pride Fashion Nights 2022, encourages everyone, especially youth at large to celebrate & take pride in their authentic and individual journeys. On her association with Blenders Pride Fashion Nights, Aarifah Rebello said, “I didn’t get into music thinking I’d become a musician. Moving ahead from Pune, Blenders Pride Fashion Nights 2022 will travel across the country to Guwahati, Warangal, Nagpur, Indore, Karnal and Noida.
