The 54th Edition of Padmashri Dr Mukesh Batra’s Photography Exhibition Inaugurated in the City of Mumbai

Inaugurated by Actors Zayed Khan and Pooja Bedi along with other Consul Generals of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and His Excellency, Ambassador of Peru.
Mumbai, 2nd September 2024: Dr Batra’s®️ Foundation today inaugurated its annual flagship exhibition, the 54th Edition of Magic Moments featuring Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra’s, collection of photographs of iconic landscapes from the lands of the Andes – Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil. The five-day exhibition was inaugurated by Actors Zayed Khan and Pooja Bedi together with His Excellency Javier Paulinich, Ambassador of Peru and esteemed Consul Generals Mr. Daniel Quer (Argentina), Mr. Gustavo Gonzalez (Chile) and Mr. Joao de Mendonca Lima Neto (Brazil). Admission to the exhibition is free and will be open for public till 6th September 2024, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dilip Piramal Art Gallery-NCPA, Mumbai.
Commenting on the occasion, Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra, said “As a doctor I know that having a hobby, photography or otherwise not only provides stress relief and mental stimulation but also enhances both mental and physical health. Photography has helped me to take quick decisions. It has taught me the difference between seeing and perceiving, which has helped me in prescribing correctly for my patients. The click before you miss moments in photography have trained me to make quick decisions which has helped me to save lives. I believe that each and every one of us has a hidden talent and a kalakar within us. If we could use this talent for the benefit of society it would lead to a better and happier world. I would also like to thank Nikon and all the Consul Generals who have come in support of our noble initiative.”
Speaking on the occasion the Consul Generals said, “Dr Batra’s photographs are awe inspiring and do justice to the beauty and culture of our countries. We hope that seeing the beauty of our countries many more Indians will visit South America and we will be able to establish a greater people to people connect between India and our countries”.
Adding to this, Actor Zayed Khan said “I am happy to be a part of an event that not only celebrates global beauty but also serves a meaningful cause, supporting children through art. The Magic Moments exhibition is a brilliant blend of art and philanthropy, bringing the wonders of South America to life while making a real impact. It’s inspiring to see how Dr Batra’s®️ Foundation uses art as a vehicle for change. This exhibition is a celebration of landscapes and lives.”
Speaking on the occasion, Actor Pooja Bedi said, “I am so happy to support Dr Batra’s vision for a better happier world by using one’s talent. His photography is amazing and the concept of using it for charity even better. I congratulate Dr Batra on his 54th exhibition”.
Magic Moments over the years has held a significant place in Mumbai’s cultural calendar, not only for its artistic appeal but also for its noble purpose. Supported by the consulates of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Peru, and with technical backing from Nikon, the exhibition once again demonstrated the power of art to inspire compassion. The proceeds from the exhibition will go towards The Victoria Memorial School for the Blind, a cause that has been at the heart of Magic Moments since its inception.
