Rahul Gandhi is a changed man with new ideas: Scindia

Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday said Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was a changed man, and now with renewed vigour he is enthusing confidence in party workers. He also said Mr. Gandhi was committed to people’s cause and this is what he is doing after his return from sabbatical.

“Rahul Gandhi has come with new ideas, new thoughts…He is ready to lead which is a welcome step for the party and the nation. Mr. Gandhi has entered politics not for any post but to service the people,” Mr.Scindia said at Aaj Tak’s Manthan programme organised to mark one year of Narendra Modi government.

Mr. Scindia said Congress President Sonia Gandhi has led the partyfrom the front along with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Mr.Gandhi. The Congress Vice-President was now leading from the front raising people’s issues in Parliament and outside.

Lambasting Modi government for having failed to help farmers who are in distress, Mr. Scindia charged the government with having stopped all benefits of farmers like bonus on produce, availability of urea and good minimum support price for their produce.The BJP-led NDA government was now conspiring to grab their land to benefit corporate,he added.
