Quick Heal takes the next public-spirited step, donates Arogya Yan – a Mobile Clinic to SRM Hospital, Chennai

Planning to cater to the needs of over 60,000 underprivileged people from nearby villages, the medical van will now function under the explicit guidance from the hospital

 

Chennai, September 23, 2021: Delivering on its mission of ‘Securing Futures’ through selfless philanthropy, Quick Heal Foundation, the CSR arm of Quick Heal Technologies Limited, has made a generous donation in the form of Arogya Yan to SRM Hospital, Kattankulathur, Chennai. Arogya Yan is a state-of-the-art Mobile Clinic designed to transport patients from far-flung zones while also delivering healthcare services like diagnosis, treatments, and routine check-ups. The foundation has collaborated with Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation, one of the largest NGOs in India organizes medical camps in rural areas like eye testing, dental care, cardiac, skin disorder, ortho care, cancer prevention & awareness for those who are needy & have no access to quality medical care.

 

The donation ceremony was held in the presence of esteemed guests and dignitaries Anupama Katkar, Chairperson, Quick Heal Foundation and, Dr Kailash Katkar, MD & CEO, Quick Heal Technologies Limited, Dr. M. Logaraj  from Hospital and Mr D. V. Venkatagiri from PT Foundation. With this initiative, Arogya Yan aims to serve more than 60,000 people every year in nearby villages such as Chettipunniyam, Villiambakkam, Sasthirapakkam, Mettutheru and Veerapuram.

 

Started in January 2021, Arogya Yan is part of Quick Heal’s larger CSR vision towards improving healthcare services in India’s rural heartland. It will serve as a huge medical support system for doctors to treat patients by providing basic healthcare facilities. It can also be modified into a mobile clinic unit, giving patients a clean and hygienic environment for diagnosis and treatment. The Yan can also be used for storage and seamless dispensing of medicines. The local communities and people are already thrilled about its arrival as they have high hopes for an entirely refurbished and mobile medical facility.
