8 Teams Talented Young Soccer players battle it out on the field!!
Hail the Super Soccer Tournament which is launched by Irfan Khatri and Ronak Daftary.
Mumbai, May 7th 2017: Super Soccer Tournament (SST) has kicked off its first edition on Sunday, May 7th 2017 at St. Andrews Turf, Bandra West. It was conceptualized by two 24-year old passionate soccer lovers, Irfan Khatri & Ronak Daftary, SST aims to be a tournament that will give talented players in India a big platform to play on. They realized that there’s a gap in the soccer field in India where the chances of playing in a league or a tournament are next to nil & with the launch of SST they aim to bridge that gap and hopes to give an opportunity to the young talent in this country.
With the soccer format of 9 players in each team, SST currently has 8 teams that will play against each other to bag the big trophy. The players were chosen & bought by the 8 team owners through a bidding process.
Head of Yuva Sena, Aditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, Manish Malhotra, Imtiaz Khatri and many other prominent members of the society were present at the launch of the first ever match of SST as the guest of honour in Bandra on Sunday. They were seen cheering the team and gave their support for this wonderful idea. They all had an amazing time and thought this was a brilliant idea to give exposure to our boys all over India where they get a field and a name to play! SST will be giving their proceeds to The Western India Football Association (WIFA), the governing body of football in Maharashtra, for the development of football for the under privileged.
Brands like Jet Airways & McDonalds India are some of the main sponsors’ for the event. SST has also got on board Grooming Partners: Truefitt & Hill, Apparel Partner: Fighting Fame, Equipment Partners: SCS, Fitness Partners: Herbofit, Hydration Partner: Enerzal, Catering Partner: Playlist Pizzeria, Venue Partner: Hoppipola & Outdoor Partner: Bright Advertising.
This tournament raises some hopes for the talented players in India.
Way to go boys!
