The Grazia Young Fashion Awards is an annual proper ty hosted by Grazia India. As Grazia turns nine, we bring you the third edition of the new kids on the block who are innovative, eco-conscious and spunky.

With seven winners across seven different categories, these designers have what it takes to make it to the top. Give it up for Tania Fadte of Mogachea, Mehandee Dureja of Banjaaran, Aditi Sharma of Greytone, Gaurav Khanijo of Khanijo, Naushad Ali, Ekam and Soumodeep  Dutta.

Mogachea (Category: Label Alert) Loosely translating to ‘beloved’, Mogachea makes a strong case for minimalism, while simultaneously playing with structure, colours and prints.

Ekam (Category: Urban Wear)
‘Ekam’ (new form of ar t) is all about marr ying western silhouettes with Indian embroider y. The designs have the essence of diverse cultures and aim to encourage individuality.

Banjaaran (Category: Accessories-Footwear)
Creating wearable art is what founder Mehandee Dureja aspires for her footwear label. Lending contemporary styles like chunky
brogues, loafers and sneakers with a desi nuance, Dureja uses tie-dyed leather and ikat textiles interspersed with indigenous craft to give you showstopping footwear.

Naushad Ali (Category: Sustainable Wear)
A strong love for textiles lies at the core of Naushad Ali’s label. Created in Auroville, Pondicherry, Ali’s forte lies in using traditional textiles and fabrics in a contemporary way.

Soumodeep Dutta (Category: Indi Cool)
A label that’s culturally rich with the essence of age-old Bengal, Soumodeep  Dutta designs clothes for people who are proud of India’s
rich cultural heritage. His USP lies in combining menswear details with feminine accents.

Greytone (Category: Accessories-Jewellery)
A sabbatical to Budapest from a career in interior design proved to be a turning point for Aditi Sharma. Abusing the fluid nature of
concrete, Greytone offers architectural jewellery that reflects minimalism in the way of bold and geometric shapes in neutral tones.

 Khanijo (Category: Menswear)
A dearth of a menswear that offered beautiful yet functional garments led Khanijo to launch his label. From linen shirts in quirky prints to bandhgalas and biker jackets, Khanijo loves experimenting with natural fabrics.
