24 May 2021: Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF) is setting up Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) oxygen plants in India to address the immediate need for medical-grade oxygen. The oxygen crisis of 2021 has affected millions of countrymen, and Pernod Ricard India is augmenting the relief efforts further by setting up PSA units in large multi-specialty hospitals. PSA units are being set up in 5 hospitals in Uttar Pradesh.

Since the onset of pandemic, Pernod Ricard India has supported setting up isolation wards, over 350 Oxygen concentrators through the state health department, along with BIPAP machines and HFNCs across the country to ensure that more and more people get access to care when needed. Additionally, PRIF has deployed 14 Mobile health Vans and 4 ambulances to serve the affected during these crisis times.
Over the next 3 years, the Mobile Health Vans and ambulances will cover 600 villages a year, providing access to quality health care to those who have emerged victorious in their fight against the virus but still have residual effects and augment the vaccination efforts in rural India.
As of today, PRI has helped strengthen critical care support infrastructure in public hospitals, with 100+ Intensive Care Ventilators, 105 HFNC (High Flow Nasal Cannulas) 140 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds, 35 Multi Para Monitors, along with preventive healthcare support for personal & public hygiene Alcohol-based sanitizers, and masks, across 17 states for COVID warriors like the Punjab Police Personnel, Indian Navy & Air Force (CSD), State Health Departments, Truck Drivers, and Local Communities.
