Over 15,000 participants run for health and environment at 9th Hiranandani Thane Half Marathon

HTHM was a huge success that ignited a spirit of environmental and health awareness

 

MUMBAI, 12 February 2023:  The Hiranandani Group’s 9th Hiranandani Thane Half Marathon was a running success. The marathon, which drew over 15,000 people from all over Thane city and other areas, sparked a spirit of health and environmental awareness. Milind Soman, an actor, supermodel, film producer, and fitness enthusiast, kicked off the event on February 12th with a ceremonial flag-off.

Hiranandani Thane Half Marathon, as part of its campaign “RunforEarth” is a remarkable illustration of community efforts towards a shared objective. The #RunForEarth campaign highlights the significance of being aware of one’s carbon footprint and striving towards a better world. In addition to the run, the campaign features other initiatives such as #PedalforEarth and #JoyforEarth, all part of the larger “RhymeforEarth” campaign that focuses on reducing plastic usage, conserving energy, and building a sustainable future. These efforts toward environmental well-being are a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility we share in creating a better world for ourselves and future generations.

 

For HTHM a Marathon anthem called ‘#RunForEarth’ was created and launched in collaboration with Pixel Fox and rapper Yung Clyde. The song was an extension of House of Hiranandani’s #RhymeForEarth campaign that promoted sustainable living. The anthem aimed to encourage people to take time out of their busy lives and reflect on their surroundings in order to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle. The music video was shot at the Hiranandani Estate and featured real-life enthusiasts and runners working towards self-fitness and the betterment of the environment.

Additionally, Each year has been exceptional, with an increase in registration numbers. They started with 8000 registrations in 2013, and this year they had over 15000 participants. A sustainable environment is one of the company’s core values, and Hiranandani has always been committed to environmental well-being, implementing numerous green initiatives in all of its townships. The Hiranandani Thane Half Marathon demonstrates the dedication of #RhymeForEarth while taking the cause to the next level”.

 

Over 15,000 runners took part in this incredible run, which included three categories: half marathon (21.097 km), green run (10 km), and family run (4 km).
