31 May 2016: Amara Raja Batteries Limited has been conferred the ‘Good Performance’ Award under the ‘Private – Manufacturing (Large)’ category at the 13th National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management 2015 by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India in New Delhi on 28 May 2016. Mr Ram Mohan N, Senior General Manager – Finance & Accounts, Amara Raja Batteries received the award from Mr Najib Shah, Chairman of Central Board of Excise and Customs.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr S V Raghavendra, CFO, Amara Raja Batteries Ltd said, “We constantly strive to deploy sustainable cost management practices to ensure high-quality products for our customers, while keeping costs under control. Positive efforts in cost management via wider application of relevant tools and adoption of different strategies have been duly acknowledged with this National Award.”

Recognizing the Company’s outstanding efforts in Cost Management and other relevant best practices in the corporate sector, it was conferred the coveted national award for the second time, having earlier secured second place in 2014.
The National Award for Excellence in Cost Management was instituted in 2003 to recognize qualitative cost management practices adopted by the industry and ensure due national and global recognition for the success of such cost management initiatives.
