Celebrate Worli Festival from 20th-22nd January 29th December, Mumbai: Oaks Management

Mumbai 4th January 2017: The latest edition of Worli Festival will be taking place from 20th -22nd January, 2017. Some of the notable names present at the conference included, Sachin & Sangeeta Ahir, Founders of Shree Sankalp Pratishthan, Tarsame Mittal (Founder of TM Talent Management), Subir Malik (Founder Member of renowned band Parikrama) and Nikhil Chinapa (Founder of Submerge) and Ashish Manchanda, founder of Totem Pole. Famous singers including Aakriti Kakkar, Mohammed Irfan and Mahalaksmi Iyer and Mohammed Muneem, emerging talent from the band Alif were also present. Last year, Mumbai’s largest location based music, food and activity festival had over 2 lakh visitors. This year we will be even bigger.

We look forward to seeing you come and celebrate at this ISLAND OF HAPPINESS – Worli Festival. On 20th, 21st, 22nd of January, 2017, the entire Worli sea face will be one big island of celebration. Look out for 4 performance stages powered by 49 top billed performers – EDM by Submerge headlined by Nikhil Chinapa, Indie-Rock headlined by Parikrama, Bollywood headlined by Akriti Kakkar, Mohammed Irfan and Mahalaksmi Iyer and Emerging stars with Totem Pole headlined by Alif, Mihir Joshi and Best Kept Secret. There will be a yummy line up of food stalls catering to all kinds of palates and a happy flea market with stalls selling everything under the sun.

We will celebrate our beautiful culture with amazing student Art Installations, Morning Ragas, Healthy Mumbai events and a 10k marathon. There’ll be a special community zone celebrating the original islanders – the Kolis of Worli, while screams of delight and laughter will be filling the air from the Kid’s Masti corner and Pet Adoption centre. This one stop destination for some amazing food, creative games, and mesmerizing music for even the pickiest person is bound to make your weekend!

When asked about this initiative, MD of OMCPL, Rahul Gomes commented, ‘Worli has changed so much through the ages, but the one constant has always been the spirit and essence endemic to the island. New sceneries and skyline altering structures have popped up and enhanced the beauty and appeal of Worli, and we want others to appreciate this island of happiness just as much as we do. Thus, we decided to create this festival and remind people of the indelible spirit of Worli.’
