Karjat, Maharashtra: India’s first liberal professional university, Vijaybhoomi concluded the fourth edition of FNF Debate competition with a remarkable display of intellect and eloquence. The competition is an annual event that aims to get the youth across a global forum to ponder, seek, discuss and debate issues of international interest. The event was kicked off on November 3rd with a convivial dinner, providing an opportunity for the participants to socialize and acquaint themselves with their fellow debaters.
In this edition, FNF proudly collaborated with Youth 20 (Y20) which is an official consultation forum for youth from all G20 member countries. Y20 actively encourages youth as future leaders to raise awareness of global events, exchange ideas, argue, negotiate, and reach consensus. FNF topics also addressed the G20 key issues.
The debate commenced on November 4th and the participants were divided into two categories which were juniors and seniors. There were fifteen teams of 30 participants in the senior category and eleven teams of 22 participants in the junior category that showed up for the quarter and semifinals rounds. After the intense rounds of debates, the stage was set for the highly anticipated finals which took place on the 5th of November.
The competition concluded with exciting cash prizes worth Rs 2,60,000 for both junior and senior categories with certificates and prizes for winners and runner-ups. The Cambridge Court World School, Jaipur emerged victorious in the junior category and Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Indore emerged triumphant in the senior category.
Additionally, Vijaybhoomi University also hosted a series of enriching workshops that provided participants with diverse learning experiences. These workshops, led by distinguished experts, covered a wide spectrum of topics, including Artificial Intelligence by Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Entrepreneurship by Prof. Nitin Shotri, Songwriting by Pranita Pandurangi, and Personal Branding by Prof. Edwin Mosses. These workshops not only complemented the debate competition but also allowed attendees to explore different facets of knowledge and skill development, fostering a holistic educational experience for all participants.
Speaking on the occasion, the Founder and President of the University, Shri Sanjay Padode added, “FNF is an extraordinary competition that encourages students to enhance their critical thinking skills and I am so proud that at Vijaybhoomi University we take the initiative to organize such a mighty competition. This competition has been growing every year since 2020 and every year I come across such brilliant students who astound me with their way of thinking. I would like to congratulate every winner as well as the participants and really hope that all of them learned a lot from the experience.”
