Tata Docomo to offer more value on PrePay Data

Mumbai, 7 September 2016: Tata Docomo, one of the leading telecom players, is now offering more Pre-Pay Data to its subscribers across Mumbai. Users can now enjoy up to 20 percent additional data benefits at existing prices. This latest offering from Tata Docomo has been designed to offer more value to cater to growing demand of its data services.

Under the new data benefit, the 2G data pack available at INR 5 now provides an extra 20 percent which is 30MB of data. Similarly, the pack available at INR 15 now offers 13% of additional data. Packs earlier offering 80MB of data at INR 15 now provides an additional 13% of data at the same rate.

This product will enable subscribers to enjoy more data at no extra cost. Subscribers can select their data plan from an array of multiple options customised to best suit their usage and requirements.

While millennials in particular have been found to make extensive use of data services, recent reports indicate that smartphone subscriptions have continued to increase over the years. According to a latest joint study by ASSOCHAM and KPMG, India is expected to have a total of 180 million smart phones by 2019. This will contribute to 13.5 percent of the total global smart phone market as compared to 7.6 percent at present.
