Social activist and First Lady of Maharashtra, Smt. Amruta Fadnavis inaugurated India’s largest cancer symposium Illuminate Oncology Townhall 2.0 hosted by Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital along with Dr Tarang Gianchandani, Group CEO, Reliance Healthcare Services and CEO, Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital.
Dr Tarang Gianchandani spoke on the New Health Seva Plan that was launched earlier by Chairperson Mrs Nita Mukesh Ambani at the 10th year celebration of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. She announced that the New Health Seva plan has already achieved 30-40% of its target.
As part of the New Health Seva Plan, Smt. Nita M. Ambani had pledged free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease amongst 50,000 children, free screening and treatment of breast and cervical cancer amongst 50,000 women and free cervical cancer vaccination for 10,000 adolescent girls to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in October 2024.
Mrs Fadnavis also launched the Prostate Cancer Screening program called “Bring Your Dad”, which was conceptualised by Dr Santoshi Nagaonkar, Director of Urology, Uro-oncology and the New Health Seva Plan has been designed to provide financial assistance to patients from economically weaker sections, ensuring cervix and breast cancer prevention and access advanced cancer therapieswithout financial distress. This initiative reinforces the hospital’s commitment to inclusive and compassionate healthcare.
Illuminate Oncology Townhall 2.0 brought together pioneering minds from across the globe to discuss advancements in multidisciplinary treatments, precision medicine, and patient-centered cancer care, pioneering efforts in cancer prevention and screening, diagnosis, and treatment through global collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
