Product Review : Staunch Flex100 Bluetooth neckband earphones

Review by Lokesh Shastri : Mumbai 15th June 2020: Today I have purchased the Flex 100 Bluetooth neckband earphones from flipkart. I being a gadget freak and with a strong knowledge of IT, was looking for something really good in tech specs as well as value for money and zeroed down on the brand called Staunch.

I ordered it from Flipkart and got a good deal at Rs.699/- only and I was not disappointed. The neckband came in a nice packaging and inside the box I found a cable to charge the 100mah lithium ion battery and also extra silicone rubber earbuds which attach to the earphones to match the size of my earhole.

Since I have used many Bluetooth devices before, the pairing with my mobile was easy. All I had to do was to remove the Flex 100 from the box and press the centre button on the left side of the neckband for 5 seconds and the blue light started blinking indicating it was ready to pair and searching for a device, I then opened my Bluetooth setting on my mobile and found Staunch Flex 100 and selected it to complete the pairing. I heard a sound in the neckband saying “Connect Successfully”.

Then I put on my favorite playlist of songs and Wow, beautiful sound, the bass and treble were just perfect, I being a sound engineer can make out that the frequency response is close to flat, that is no extra boost of either high, mid or low frequencies. The music was playing and I got a call and all I had to do wad press the power button once and I was connected – good clear voice and no need to hold the mobile to my ear, and using my hands I could do a lot more on the phone while being safe from mobile radiation, then pressing the power button ended the call and I was back with my music.

I have been wearing the neckband all day and find it so comfortable and lightweight. I am now able to check all my WhatsApp videos and watch movies without disturbing anyone else and with high fidelity stereo sound.

The Neckband has a charging connector and two more buttons to increase or reduce the volume, a little care will be needed on the flexible wires connecting the earphone ends and also prevent water and rain from entering the charging connector.
