Mumbai, 6th September 2022: After Polio, the focus of Rotary is now on TB. Rotary India Humanity Foundation and the Central TB Division, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India have entered into an MOU for eradication of TB in India by 2025. This is part of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Under this initiative, Nutritional Food Kits were distributed to 100 patients from financially challenged sections of society at Shatabdi Hospital today. They will be given these kits every month for twelve months. The kits were handed over to the patients at the hands of Dr. Navin Shewale, brother of MP Shri Rahul Shewale and Mrs. Vaishali Shewale.
Todays Kit distribution was timed to coincide with the National Nutrition Week which is from 1st Sept 22 to 7th Sept 22.
