New Delhi, Wednesday, August 16, 2017– Mussoorie International School, a leading all-girls School in the country, has been honoured with an award for ‘Best Innovation in Pedagogical Practices’ at the 10th World Education Awards, held in New Delhi.
The World Education Awards were presented at the 10th World Education Summit organised at Hotel Le Meridian, Delhi. Chief Guest on the occasion was Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare.
The World Education Summit for Education is the premier international platform dedicated to innovation and creative action in education where top decision-makers share insights with on-the- ground practitioners and collaborate to rethink education. The Summit aims to bring together decision makers, influential experts and practitioners from around the world, to explore groundbreaking innovations and take concrete steps to make significant improvements to worldwide education.
Ms. Priya Peter, Principal, Mussorie International School thanked the teachers and staff of MIS who have dedicated themselves to the task of educating and bringing up well balanced personalities. Expressing her happiness at receiving the prestigious award, Ms. Priya Peter said, “The teachers at MIS always adopt child friendly strategies that cater to individual learners; they act as facilitators and ensure complete engagement and involvement of students. This helps in development in terms of skill based learning, beyond basic education. Around 400 eminent personalities from the education sector and higher officials from India and abroad were present at the event. V. S. Radhakrishnan, State Minister of Education, Srilanka, Kalthoom AlBalooshi, Executive Director of Education Development, KHDA, Dubai, Paul Fear, Chief Executive Officer, British Accreditation Council, United Kingdom were also present at the occasion.
Roundtable and panel discussion on some of the topics like building Effective School Education Ecosystem, Emerging Trends in Higher Education and Assessments: The way forward, Transforming Teaching Methodologies, Building Knowledge Economy through Quality Higher Education, Reimagining the Classroom Teaching methods etc. and other such key subjects that face the industry today were discussed by high power panels.
Some of the keynote speakers and panelists that participated in panel and roundtable sessions that took place today included Chris Cobb, Pro Vice Chancellor & Chief Operating Officer, University of London, United Kingdom, Dr S C Kulshresht, Chairman, Shri Ram Group of College, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh and other such high officials from education industry.
