Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX), India’s leading commodity exchange, has launched its flagship Certification exam ‘Multi Commodity Exchange Certified Commodity Professional’ (MCCP) in Hindi. Participants appearing for the test now will have the option of answering the questions in either Hindi or English from May 1, 2015.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. P. K. Singhal, Joint Managing Director, MCX said, “We are delighted to offer our premier MCCP certification test in Hindi and will be considering other regional languages in the future. This initiative furthers our aim of serving the real economy through education and awareness on price risk management, transcending language barriers in the country.”
MCCP is the ideal beginner’s programme for pursuing a career in the commodity derivatives market. The course is designed to provide the necessary inputs required to make the participants well acquainted with the modalities of the commodity derivatives market in India. It covers the entire gamut of commodity derivatives market, thereby providing domain knowledge and professional expertise.
The initiative is to take commodity markets to the grassroots level, focusing on financial inclusion. This helps the exchange to spread awareness on price risk management and create a strong workforce in tier two and three cities and in rural India. The move removes language barriers and encourages participants to comprehend the commodity markets in a language they are at ease with.
