The 4th year of The Pride of India Awards was a unique and special event in itself. With many crèmes de la crème being present for the function gracing the event. This occasion did not only see some stellar talk sessions and the deserving nominations take away the trophies, but also did it endorse societal causes and Indian cinema memorabilia. The theme of this year’s awards function was Lead the Change.
Honouring these heroes across industries is World Consulting and Research Corporation’s Ideasfest 2018, which had its third very successful edition on August 27, 2018 at Mumbai’s glittering Sahara Star Hotel’s Jade Ballroom.
Ideasfest primal day saw a lot of ecstasy, prestige, emotions and of course, highly groomed celebrities, industry stalwarts, notable CEOs and top brands. The glittering evening began with a key note speech, followed by talk shows and panel discussion, launch of the WCRC 2018 Annual Report and the awards ceremonies. The 2018 conclave, in its third edition was divided into three distinct parts to honour an array of thought leaders in India. This platform also witnessed the announcement of ‘Brand of the Year 2018’ and ‘India’s Most Trusted CEOs 2018’
The Pride of India Awards, in its 4th edition, recognizes the work towards society by inspirational and responsible leaders. Across sectors, they have brought to life the spirit of India. This year’s recipients included Rishi Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Ekta Kapoor, Jennifer Winget, Ranveer Singh, Aly Morani, Kishore Lulla, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, Nandita Das, Pirojsha Adi Godrej, Rani Mukherjee, amongst others.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Abhimanyu Ghosh, Editor-In-Chief, WCRC said, “WCRC’s team of experts has spent long months of research, analysis and studies to arrive at our list of awardees tonight. Ranveer Singh happily accepting the Pride Actor of the Year for one of his greatest roles played onscreen as Khilaji in Padmaavat said “I thank my director Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali for convincing me to take up this challenge and bring out the best in me. I hope to continue to take on such interesting challenges and entertaining you all”
The event witnessed these industries stalwarts to collect the prestigious trophy in person. The awards ceremony was followed by a lavish spread of sumptuous dinner that became one of the most coveted networking events in India’s corporate circles.
