iLeaf Banquets honours women warriors of NMMC on Women’s Day
‘Stree Jyoti Awards’ organized to felicitate frontline health and hygiene women workers in collaboration with Heartfulness and NMMC
Navi Mumbai, 8th March, 2022: iLeaf Banquets, Navi Mumbai’s premium chain of banqueting venues partnered with well-known wellness institute ‘Heartfulness’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day. To recognize the selfless efforts of frontline women workers and sanitation staff, “StreeJyoti Awards” was conceptualized by iLeaf Banquets and Heartfulness in association with NMMC. The gala award ceremony was held at iLeaf’s luxurious Grand Banquets in Navi Mumbai.
Present at the awards ceremony were respected dignitaries along with distinguished guests from the NMMC and Marathi films fraternity. Gracing the event with their presence were Shri Sanjeevji Naik, (First Mayor Navi Mumbai and Former MP); Shrimati Sujata Dhole, Additional Commissioner NMMC; Shri Babasheb Rajale – DCP, Director (Solid Waste Management); Shri Vijay Lakhani – Director, Lakhani Group; Mr Amardeep Singh – Owner Raunak Advertising; Mr Tushar Pradhan – Zonal Head, Heartfulness, among many others.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pratiesh Ambekar (Managing Director, iLeaf Banquets) said, “We are delighted to roll out this great initiative to uphold our women warriors and thank them for their commitment to society. Covid-19 has been challenging for all of us but it takes courage and compassion to leave the responsibilities of one’s home and come out in the frontline to help others. Our women frontline workers and sanitation personnel deserve all the recognition they can get because they chose to help society, before self, and we salute them for that.”
Also present at the event was Mr. Abhishek Kadam (Director, iLeaf Banquets Navi Mumbai) who said, “Navi Mumbai was ranked first in the list of India’s Clean Cities’ Survey Swachh Survekshan Abhiyaan 2021 an initiative by Central Government. This would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment by our frontline workforce and therefore we felt the need to felicitate them and laud them for their unstinting support.”

The event saw representatives from the organizing committee felicitating frontline women workers at the awards function. Health and sanitation women employees were also awarded certificates for their valuable contribution.
