27th January 2025: BNC Motors proudly announces the operationalization of its new electric two-wheeler manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The facility covers 250k sq ft of built-up area and can support production of 15k vehicles per month for both domestic and export requirements. The facility also includes in-house battery manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and fabrication unit.
Speaking about the factory, CEO of BNC Motors Anirudh Ravi Narayanan said, “Our new factory provides us 10x the capacity of our previous factory and allows us to accommodate production of multiple products, as well as a high-level of vertical integration within the facility. Our team has worked day-and-night to get this factory ready in a short span of 3 month to support our new product launch. With this unit, we have sufficient capacity to cover our demand forecast in the near term”
BNC expects to create many additional jobs in the coming year and months as a result of the capacity expansion. In addition, local supplier eco-system in Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu will benefit as well. More than a third of the capacity of the new factory is expected to go towards exports. BNC is also working to launch multiple new vehicles this year, including a scooter and a motorcycle.
