Actress Neetu Chandra inaugurated Rani Poddar’s “Puncham Bazaar” Ably Supported by Aneel Murarka

This exhibition cum sale’s primarily focus lies in making all sorts of household items under one roof for women. The one day event aims to making women feel beautiful inside and out. The exhibition to showcase trend setting designers clothing, accessories, footwear, jewellery and much more by designers from different cities- All under one roof. So be it cutlery, crockery, arte facts, furnishings, designer garments or anything at all for women, you will definitely find it at “Puncham Bazaar”.

“Puncham Bazaar”- celebrating women hood was inaugurated by actress Neetu Chandra. Following the Indian rituals the inauguration commenced by cutting the ribbon and followed by lighting the auspicious lamp. Neetu Chandra who dazzled in a green gown visited each and every stall and picked up few of her favorites.

The exhibition organized by a woman, to a woman and for a woman “Puncham Bazaar” had a dozen of big wigs visit the exhibition comprising of Vidya Thakur, Aneel Murarka, Shweta Khanduri, Umesh Pherwani, Sooraj Thapad, Indu Sahani, Abha Singh and Jayawantiben Mehta.

Having inaugurated “Puncham Bazaar”, an elated Neetu Singh says “I am delighted to have been a part of Puncham Bazaar. Being a woman I stand by every step taken for their betterment. It’s really good to see Mrs. Rani Poddar & Mr. Aneel Murarka take essential steps for betterment of woman”.

Holding a philanthropic vision, “Puncham Bazaar” comprises of 90 stalls along with international brands under the same roof along with 10 NGO stalls; the funds raised from this event have been instrumental in building nearly 11 cold drinking water foundations in Mumbai, besides helping the Indian Cancer Society, Association for the blind and physically handicapped children.

Founded in the year 1980, “Puncham”, a socio – charitable women’s organization is the brain child of Rani Poddar, who has been at the forefront of social initiatives and charitable activities throughout her life. In its tenure of 30 years, “Puncham” has been instrumental in building nearly 11 cold drinking water fountains in Mumbai, besides helping the Indian Cancer Society and the Association for the Blind.

In 2009, the Times of India group recognized and acknowledged Rani Poddar for her outstanding social contribution by conferring the “Angel of the City” award. She also received the prestigious “Udaan” award as a woman of substance at the hands of Ashok Chavan, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra
