New Delhi, August 4th , 2016: Recently The Autism Centre for Excellence (ACE) took 25 specially abled kids for a one of a kind experience in Gurgaon. The kids were taken for a movie outing to watch Ice Age 5. They were accompanies by exceptionally qualified teachers having hands on experience. ACE, an initiative of The Special Child Trust, is working to transform the autism education landscape in India. The school caters to children on the Autism spectrum from pre-school to teenage years as this is the age group that shows maximum fallout from school systems, with very few existing programs to cater to their needs.
The school aims to promote the achievement of high educational standards in realizing the full intellectual, social, physical, and emotional potential of each of its students and ensures educational programming beyond the school’s walls through training, consultation, and support for students’ families.
According to Dr. Archana Nayar, Director, ‘’It’s rare for kids like ours to go to the movies and I feel very proud that our school with the help of trained teachers managed to organize this treat for our amazing children.’’
