IKEA Worli City Store is now open!
First customers being welcomed at IKEA Worli City Store on 9th December 2021!
Mumbai/ Maharashtra, December 9, 2021: IKEA (part of the Ingka Group), the Swedish brand and world’s leading home furnishing retailer, today opened its first of a kind Worli City Store to the many people of Mumbai. Spread over 80,000 sq. ft, the store opened at 10:30 am and welcomed its first customer with much fanfare as coworkers and customers came together to cheer and celebrate another milestone in IKEA’s retail journey in India.
As a responsible retailer, IKEA will continue to promote a safe shopping experience. Customers who are looking forward to shop at IKEA Worli City Store, need to follow the latest COVID-19 guidelines by being fully vaccinated with 2 doses and should have completed 14 days after second dose. With temperature checks, sanitisers and social distancing protocols in place, IKEA is ready to offer a safe shopping experience to all.
The IKEA Worli City store aims for 1.5 million store visits in the first year of the opening. Located in Utopia City, near Kamala mills, the city store promises everything for your home to help you do more with every space in the house. From the 8000-9000 products available at the Worli City Store, over 2,200 products will be available for direct take away and the rest will be home delivered. IKEA coworkers as well as various digital tools will support customers with placing orders for larger items that aren’t available for takeaway. The store will host 03 room sets and inspirations focused on small space living, space saving hacks and other needs of the home.
The store was also visited by Aaditya Uddhav Thackeray, Mayor of Mumbai and Cabinet Minister of Industries, who met with IKEA India management team and shared best wishes for the brand’s journey.
