New Delhi, 30 September 2020: Detel Foundation, a CSR wing of Detel has today announced its collaboration with Grow-Trees, an organization dedicated to increasing the green cover in India. Under this initiative, Detel and Grow-Trees will plant sapling on behalf of Detel Customers on the sale of each product across categories such as Detel TV, Detel Washing Machine, and Detel EV.
The NGO will provide a token of appreciation to the customers with a personalized certificate highlighting how their purchase from Detel India has helped to contribute to the Green India Initiatives. The certificate will also have a Geotag for the tree that has been planted in the name of that customer, which will help them to virtually visit the location of the sapling.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Gitika Bhatia, Founder, Detel Foundation, says, “Throughout our journey, we have been working towards environmental sustainability by providing seeds to our customers along with the product they have purchased in order to safeguard the environment. This initiative is a step ahead to encourage people to plant a tree and improve the much-required green cover in the country. The move is one of the ways to show that we are concerned and thus we are requesting all our customers to join this movement to make it successful”.
Commenting on the initiative, Grow-Trees said: “We are happy to partner with Detel in working towards environmental sustainability through its Plant a Tree drive. With this tie-up, we are proud to roll out a campaign that promises a cleaner, brighter, and greener future to our coming generations.”.
