Jaipur: With an objective to increase immunity, strength and flexibility, and alleviate mental ailments, JK Lakshmipat University is all set to organize a live yoga session on Sunday, 21st June from 9.00 to 10.00 am. It will go live on Facebook, on #JKLUJAIPUR, JKLU’s Facebook page. In line with the 2020 theme of “Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family”, MsVandana Jain, Senior Faculty, Art of Living will address the session and raise awareness on the benefits of practicing yoga as a powerful tool to handle physical ailments, anxiety and depression during these tough times. The event will also bring together family members who will practice yoga together to stay healthy and happy together.
Announcing the initiative, Dr. R.L Raina, Vice Chancellor, JK Lakshmipat University, said “As this year, Yoga Day celebrations cannot be organized in parks or public places, JKLU has initiated live yoga session, especially for elderly people, through Facebook Live. Since we have also launched a helpline for senior citizens last month in Rajasthan, we thought of connecting again with those people and help them in maintaining good health and happiness. I will urge people to join us in this initiative and celebrate International Day of Yoga at your home and with your families.”
Elderly people who are feeling stressed or worried are invited to attend this live session. They can also call on the helpline number 7428518030 any day between 9 AM to 7 PM.
