Lead by Example Finalists with Judges
Ryan Pinto, CEO of Ryan Group inaugurates the event hosted by Edunation
Pune, 20th February, 2024: Over 50 teachers from 11 different schools presented leading-edge classroom teaching methods at the 11th Edition of ‘Lead by Example’, an annual platform created for showcasing innovative pedagogy strategies and techniques. The 11th edition of the event, organised by Ryan Edunation Services Pvt. Ltd., a leading operator of K-12 institutions, was aimed at enhancing the learning outcomes of students.
Teachers from across the country not only presented their unique teaching methodologies to an esteemed panel of judges from the education ecosystem, but also engaged in discussions on the personalised teaching approaches they have implemented at their schools in different cities. Teachers from Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Jaipur identified learning gaps among students and deliberated upon strategies that helped in amplifying learning outcomes.
During a Q&A, the panel of judges engaged in discussions with teachers, appreciating their use of experiential learning methods in classrooms. The teachers shared inspiring stories about how they make learning fun through storytelling, critical thinking exercises, real-life experiences, interactive games, and more so that every young and curious mind is shaped to meet future challenges in life.
The judges were: Ms. Maya Menon, Founder Director- The Teacher Foundation, Ms. Sajeetha Barathi, Academic Advisor, The Titan School, Hosur, Dr. Nirmala Krishnan, Former Country Head, Education, and Author-Researcher, Ms. Nivedita Mukerjee, Education Advisor.
Mr. Ryan Pinto, CEO of Ryan Group of Institutions, appreciated the efforts of the Edunation team in creating a platform for all the teachers to come together and present the best teaching practices. Speaking about the roadmap ahead, he said, “While artificial intelligence is the buzzword, technology has always been challenging and pushing us as educators and edu-entrepreneurs. Every challenge faced by us transforms the teaching and learning process, completely engaging and encouraging students to discover their potential, build resilience, and embrace curiosity. As educators, we constantly learn, cope, and keep up with the changing trends of learners. Our students are already at the cutting edge—we must keep up, stay inspired, and stay committed.”
He congratulated the finalists of Lead by Example and admired their efforts saying, ‘Let’s embrace a winner’s mindset. Concluding his remarks, he quoted Nelson Mandela’s words, “I never lose. I only win or learn.’, ‘Together, let’s strive to shape the future,” he said.
Addressing the teachers, Chief Guest Ms. Maya Menon, Founder Director- The Teacher Foundation, said, “Teaching is a constant journey of reflection and growth. We must hear more from students, because their voices reveal the true impact of learning. Teacher reflection is just as critical as understanding what has been accomplished, what hasn’t, and introspecting the pathway. Forums like Lead by Example for teachers are a great way to foster a sense of setting good practices and best practices across schools. Through fostering collaboration amongst the teaching community, this is the best way for teachers to co-learn and transfer the best practices among each other.”
Mr. Vinod Sharma, COO of Ryan Edunation, Ms. Nidhi Thapar, Academic Head of Ryan Education, and Principals of schools across the nation were present during the event.
The winners were:
Pre- primary section: Neelima Kaur, from HDFC School emerged the winner and Shivani Munshi, Ryan International Academy, Hinjewadi, secured the second position.
Primary Section : Richard Mendis and Kausar Khan from Amanora School, Pune, secured the first and second place, respectively.
Middle School Section: Mini Regin from the Sarjapur branch won the first place and Sankalita Majumder from Hinjewadi branch bagged the second place.
Senior School Section : Shivani Kularni from Amanora won first place, and Nidhi Jain from Tattva School, Bengaluru secured the second position.
Amanora School, Pune, emerged as the overall champions, and Ryan International Academy, Himjewadi , Pune, as the runners-up, which is a testament to the dedication and skills of the teachers at these schools.
More than 50 participants from 11 schools of Ryan Edunation were able to further hone their unique teaching methods by participating in the event.
