Paytm is the official digital payments partner for Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya; PM Narendra Modi buys the first ticket

One97 Communications Ltd that owns the brand Paytm, which is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, today shared that it is the official digital payments partner for the newly inaugurated Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya. At the inauguration ceremony, Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first person to buy the ticket through Paytm EDC.

 

 

Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya or the Prime Ministers’ Museum in the National Capital will open for all from next week. The museum is a tribute to Indian Prime Ministers and also shows the journey of India after independence.

 

As the official partner for the museum, Paytm is offering its Payment Gateway, EDC and QR code payment options to make way for superfast, convenient and secure transactions. With Paytm Payment Gateway, EDC and QR code, users will have the flexibility to pay through Paytm UPI, Paytm Wallet, Paytm Postpaid, BHIM UPI, netbanking, debit and credit cards etc.

 

The company is a leading player in the offline payments business, with the total number of devices deployed growing to 2.9 million in the last quarter. The company deploys 1000 devices per day.

 

Paytm Spokesperson said, “We are excited to be the official digital payments partner at Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, which marks a tribute to the Prime Ministers of India and their contribution to the country. With Paytm’s payment options, users visiting the museum will have the convenience of buying tickets digitally in a safe and secure manner.”

 

Paytm has seen massive growth in the last quarter of FY22, as per the company’s business update shared with the exchanges — scaled to 6.5 million loan disbursals during the quarter (Y-o-Y growth of 374%), which aggregates to a total loan value of INR INR 3,553 Cr (Y-o-Y growth of 417%), 104% Y-o-Y increase in GMV at INR 2.59 lakh Cr ($34.5 billion) and 41% growth in monthly transacting users to 70.9 million.
