Kirloskar Brothers Limited bags repeat order from Turkey’s Calik Enerji for supply of Power Plant Pumps

Kirloskar Brothers Limited, a global fluid management company, has scripted yet another success story in the global power market, having bagged one more order from Calik Enerji of Turkey, for supply of pumps for its 230MW CCPP project in Georgia. This is a déjà vuof the sorts for Pune-based Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), who is known for repeat orders wherever it worked with global or domestic customers.

Calik Enerji is a Turkish energy company of Calik Holding, with business interests in Oil & Gas Exploration and Production, Transportation & Distribution; Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution; Power Plant Design and Engineering; and Telecommunications Services.

KBL reciprocated the repeat order by Calik Enerji by not only shipping all pumps to site as per schedule but also provided supervision at site and completed installation of all pumps.

 Commenting on the development, Mr Ravindra Prabhakar Ulangwar, Vice President & Head -Business Sector Power & Irrigation for KBL said, “We are glad to have exceeded customer expectations with repeat orders. KBL had received first order from Calik Enerji in 2010-11 for supply of 24 units of various horizontal split case and vertical turbine pumps for the 480MW NAVOI CCPP project in Uzbekistan. Apart from delivering all pumps at the site as per contract schedule, KBL also provided supervision support at site during installation and commissioning of pumps. All pumps were successfully commissioned, and systems were handed over to Calik Enerji by May 2012.

Based on performance of equipment and service support provided, KBL was the obvious preferred supplier of pumps for their upcoming 230MW Gardabani CCPP project in Georgia.
